Northumberland Humane Society

Once you have met an animal who you are interested in adopting, our staff will assist you with completing an adoption application. Staff will then review your application and let you know if you’re a good match. The application reviewing process can take 24-48 hours to complete. Some of our animals receive more than one adoption application and in that case, we select the applicant who is best matched for that particular animal. We encourage other applicants to consider some of the other dogs that are still waiting for their second chance and a new home.
